{"id":12803,"date":"2019-10-29T15:37:44","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T15:37:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.limearchive.org.uk\/?p=12803"},"modified":"2019-12-20T19:21:24","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T19:21:24","slug":"penarth-performer-goes-for-gold-down-under","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.limearchive.org.uk\/cy\/penarth-performer-goes-for-gold-down-under\/","title":{"rendered":"Perfformiwr o Benarth yn Diddanu yn Awstralia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Cantores Gymraeg, a brofodd fuddugoliaeth yn Llangollen, yn creu argraff\u00a0 yn Eisteddfod yr Arfordir Aur<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fe wnaeth Jodi Bird, 21, o Benarth, a enillodd gystadleuaeth <em>Llais Rhyngwladol Sioe Gerdd 2019<\/em> yn Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen eleni, hedfan i Awstralia&#8217;r wythnos diwethaf i berfformio fel rhan o\u2019i gwobr.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Bu i\u2019r cyn-ddisgybl o Ysgol Bro Morgannwg ganu ar lwyfan y Pafiliwn Rhyngwladol Brenhinol gan ennill y teitl mawreddog ynghyd \u00e2 gwobr ariannol o\u00a0 \u00a31,500 a\u2019r cyfle i berfformio yn Eisteddfod yr Arfordir Aur yn Awstralia.<\/p>\n<p>Yr wythnos diwethaf, fe wnaeth Jodi deithio i ochr arall y byd gyda\u2019i thad, Frank, i fod yn rhan o\u2019r Gold Coast Musicale ddydd Gwener 18fed Hydref, lle cyflwynwyd amrywiaeth o berfformiadau cerddorol, dawns a lleisiol arbennig. Roedd y daith yn cael ei chyllido gan Eisteddfod yr Arfordir Aur gyda\u2019r bwriad o hybu harmoni rhyngwladol ac i gydnabod y talentau eithriadol sy\u2019n deillio o Langollen.<\/p>\n<p>Swynodd Jodi\u2019r gynulleidfa gyda\u2019i llais meistrolgar a\u2019i pherfformiadau o ddwy g\u00e2n sioe eiconig, <em>Don\u2019t Rain on my Parade<\/em> o\u2019r sioe <em>Funny Girl<\/em> a <em>I Dreamed a Dream<\/em> o <em>Les Mis\u00e9rables. <\/em>\u00a0Fe ddychwelodd i\u2019r llwyfan yn yr ail act i gwblhau ei pherfformiad gyda dau unawd pwerus, <em>Defying Gravity<\/em> o <em>Wicked<\/em> a dehongliad cofiadwy o <em>Don\u2019t Cry for Me, Argentina<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Wrth drafod ei phrofiad yn ymweld a pherfformio yn Awstralia, dyweddod Jodi: \u201cDwi wedi cael modd i fyw yn gweld yr Arfordir Aur gyda fy nhad, rydym ni wedi gwneud gweithgareddau gwych gan gynnwys caiacio a gwylio sioe fendigedig o\u2019r enw <em>Suave<\/em> yn y Pink Flamingo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae hi wedi bod yn fraint cynrychioli Cymru ar lefel ryngwladol. Rwy\u2019n ddiolchgar iawn o\u2019r cyfle i berfformio rhai o\u2019m hoff ganeuon sioe gerdd yn y Musicale ac rwy\u2019n gobeithio i bawb fwynhau\u2019r noson.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mae Eisteddfod yr Arfordir Aur yn rhoi llwyfan i dros 70,000 o gantorion a dawnswyr, 330 o fandiau a cherddorfeydd, 175 c\u00f4r, bron i 1,500 o grwpiau dawns a 3,000 o ddawnswyr unigol. Rhoddir cyfleoedd anhygoel i berfformwyr ifanc o bob cwr o\u2019r byd, gan gynnwys Jodi Bird, mewn awyrgylch cyfeillgar a bywiog.<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd Judith Ferber, Rheolwr Cyffredinol Eisteddfod yr Arfordir Aur: \u201c \u201cRydym yn mwynhau darparu cyfleoedd i berfformwyr rhyngwladol ddod i arddangos eu talentau yn ein heisteddfod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoedd perfformiad Jodi yn fendigedig ac yn ychwanegiad gwych i\u2019n Musicale. Rydym yn falch iawn ei bod wedi ennill yn Llangollen ac wedi derbyn y cyfle i ganu yma.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ychwanegodd Cyfarwyddwr Cerdd Eisteddfod Llangollen, Dr Edward Rhys-Harry: \u201cBob blwyddyn rydym ni\u2019n croesawu\u2019r byd i Gymru, ac mae\u2019n wych bod Jodi wedi cael y cyfle i rannu ei thalent gerddorol anhygoel gyda\u2019r byd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFe roddodd Jodi berfformiad cryf iawn i ni yn Llangollen ar gyfer cystadleuaeth <em>Llais Rhyngwladol Sioe Gerdd<\/em>.
