Disgrifiodd ei ymweliad ychydig wythnosau&#8217;n ddiweddarach mewn darllediad 15 munud ar gyfer Gwasanaeth Cartref y BBC, a lluniodd ddelweddau llafar o&#8217;r Eisteddfod gynnar sydd yr un mor bwerus heddiw. Nid oes unrhyw recordiadau hysbys o&#8217;r darllediad, ac felly bu&#8217;n rhaid i ni wneud y tro \u00e2&#8217;r testun, a argraffwyd yng nghasgliad 1953 \u201cQuite Early One Morning\u201d, er bod sawl rhaglen deledu am yr \u0175yl wedi defnyddio geiriau Thomas, wedi&#8217;u lleisio gan actorion o Gymru.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Hyd at ychydig fisoedd yn \u00f4l nid oeddem yn gwybod dim am ymweliad y bardd \u00e2 Llangollen, heblaw am destun y sgwrs, y ffaith bod y BBC wedi talu 20 gini iddo, ac atgofion pobl leol o siarad ag ef yn ystod ei ymweliadau \u00e2 bar Gwesty\u2019r Wynnstay (a elwir bellach yn \u201cThe Three Eagles\u201d). Mae pethau wedi newid. Mae archif gynhwysfawr o waith llenyddol a bywyd y bardd wedi cael ei ddigideiddio mewn prosiect ar y cyd rhwng Prifysgol Austin yn Texas, Prifysgol Abertawe ac Ymddiriedolaeth Dylan Thomas. Daeth yr archif ar gael ar-lein ym mis Mai 2021.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-14489\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news.limearchive.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/thomas-notebook-front-cover.png?resize=250%2C380&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"380\" \/>Y llawenydd i gefnogwyr yr Eisteddfod yw bod y deunydd ar-lein yn cynnwys tair eitem yn ymwneud \u00e2\u2019i ymweliad \u00e2 Llangollen yn 1953. Mae yna ddrafft mewn llawysgrifen a hefyd teipysgrif o&#8217;r sgwrs radio; mae&#8217;r ddau yn cynnwys llawer o addasiadau a newidiadau sy&#8217;n dangos sut y datblygodd y stori a&#8217;r ieithwedd. Y peth trawiadol, fodd bynnag, yw sgan o&#8217;r llyfr nodiadau a gadwodd Thomas yn ystod ychydig ddyddiau ei ymweliad; defnyddir llai na 30 tudalen o&#8217;r llyfr arian parod bychan \u00e2 gorchudd glas, ond mae bron pob tudalen yn cynnwys gemau sy&#8217;n dangos ymateb emosiynol uniongyrchol y bardd i brofiad Llangollen.<\/p>\n<p>Mae&#8217;n amlwg iddo werthfawrogi negeseuon dynol dwfn y caneuon a&#8217;r dawnsfeydd; er enghraifft, Mae yna nifer o gyfeiriadau at y merched tlws \u2013 o wlad Tsiec, Iwgoslafia, Sbaen &#8211; a welodd yn y corau gwerin a&#8217;r grwpiau dawns, a\u2019r edrychiad \u2018<i>tyrd yma<\/i>\u2019 yn iaith y dawnsfeydd caru (\u201c<i>come-hither looks in every dance language<\/i>\u201d). Fe\u2019i hudwyd yn arbennig gan berfformiad gr\u0175p dawns ffermwyr o\u2019r Iseldiroedd, wyth p\u00e2r priod, yn ifanc a hen, gyda dwy ddawns o\u2019r enw \u201cTafla\u2019r wraig allan\u201d a \u201cWnei di ddim fy nal i\u201d. Mae hefyd yn cofnodi sut nad oedd dawnsfeydd Bwrgwyn yn dathlu\u2019r cynhaeaf grawnwin a\u2019i drawsnewid yn win yn apelio at aelodau mwy sarrug (\u201cgrimmer\u201d) y gynulleidfa, oherwydd bod yfed yn cael ei ddangos ar y llwyfan. Ond mae hefyd yn adrodd am frwdfrydedd y gwrandawyr hynny a safodd y tu allan i&#8217;r babell fawr yn wlyb at eu crwyn yn y glaw i wrando ar Canteras de Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>Gallwn ddarllen y defnydd cyntaf petrus o\u2019r trosiad ar gyfer y babell fawr a ddaeth yn y pen draw yn \u201c<em>ship of a tent<\/em>\u201d. Yn anffodus, nid yw\u2019r llyfr nodiadau yn cofnodi unrhyw beth am ei ymateb i g\u00f4r Obernkirchen, sef y \u201cpigtailed angels\u201d enwog. Codwyd ei chwilfryddedd gan hel llofnodion, a bu&#8217;n dyfalu ynghylch cyfraddau cyfnewid llofnodion \u2013 <em>llofnod tri Wcraniad am lofnod un o drigolion Jafa<\/em> (\u201c<em>three Ukranians for one Javanese<\/em>\u201d). Cynigiodd mai \u201c<em>nid dawnsio a cherddoriaeth yn unig oedd yr Eisteddfod &#8211; mae&#8217;n ffyrdd o fyw (sic) yn y dyffryn gwyrdd hwn yng Nghymru<\/em>&#8221; (\u201c<em>not just dancing and music &#8211; it&#8217;s ways of lives (sic) meeting in this green vale of Wales<\/em>&#8220;); roedd ganddo awgrym hefyd yn cyd-fynd \u00e2 hyn y dylai Eisteddfodau yn y dyfodol gynnwys caffis o&#8217;r holl wledydd oedd yn cystadlu.<\/p>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news.limearchive.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Inkedthomas-notebook-image-11_mofified-1024x842.jpg?resize=1024%2C842&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"842\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-14486\" \/>\n<p>Mae yna grynodeb taclus o&#8217;i ymateb cyffredinol i&#8217;r \u0175yl: \u201c<em>Y peth gorau sydd wedi digwydd yng Nghymru<\/em>\u201d meddai. Ychwanegodd y gair \u201c<em>ers<\/em>\u201d yn ddiweddarach. Fel pe bai\u2019n methu dod o hyd i gymhariaeth addas.<\/p>\n<p>Mae&#8217;r papurau hefyd yn datgelu gwybodaeth ddiddorol am un o&#8217;r dyfyniadau enwocaf y darllediad radio. \u201c<em>Are you surprised that people still can dance and sing in a world on its head?
