Bydd seren jazz a chwaraeodd gyda\u2019r chwedlonol Frank Sinatra yn ymuno \u00e2 llais Strictly Come Dancing am noson i’w chofio yng ngogledd Cymru.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bydd y canwr, Tommy Blaize<\/a>, yn ymuno \u00e2 Guy Barker a\u2019i Fand Mawr ar gyfer \u201cperfformiad pwerus\u201d mewn cyngerdd llawn s\u00ear yn Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen am 8pm nos Wener, Gorffennaf 7<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dyma\u2019r trydydd ymweliad \u00e2 Llangollen i Guy, sydd hefyd wedi rhannu’r llwyfan gyda s\u00ear eraill gan gynnwys George Michael, <\/span>Sting<\/span>, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Phil Collins, Sammy Davis Jr a Liza Minnelli ymhlith llawer o rai eraill.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Roedd y cyntaf o ddau ymddangosiad blaenorol Guy yn Eisteddfod Llangollen yn 2003, yn cefnogi\u2019r ddeuawd g\u0175r a gwraig eiconig Johnny Dankworth a Cleo Laine, ac yna dychwelodd i chwarae gyda\u2019r bas-bariton Syr Willard White yn 2009.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Y tro hwn bydd yn arwain ei fand 15 darn ei hun ynghyd \u00e2 phrif leisydd Strictly Come Dancing, Tommy Blaize<\/a>, yn ogystal \u00e2\u2019r cantorion Clare Teal<\/a> a Vanessa Haynes a\u2019r chwaraewr sacs Giacomo Smith<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae gan Guy, 65 oed, atgofion melys o berfformio yn Llangollen ac meddai: \u201cChwaraeais gyda Willard White pan roddodd deyrnged i Paul Robeson a chyn hynny roeddwn yno gyda John Dankworth a Cleo Laine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRwy\u2019n cofio\u2019r llwyfan a\u2019r ardal gefn llwyfan yn dda ac roedd y gynulleidfa mor frwd. Mae\u2019n lle gwych i chwarae.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cafodd Guy ei fagu ym myd adloniant a pherfformio. Ei fam yw’r actores Barbara Barker, sydd bellach yn 95 oed, a ymddangosodd yn saith pennod gyntaf Coronation Street ac yn ddiweddarach yn Z Cars ac Emmerdale Farm ac roedd ei ddiweddar dad, Ken, yn actor ac yn ddyn styntiau.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYn olygfa agoriadol The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, fy nhad yw\u2019r un sy\u2019n rhedeg yn noeth i\u2019r m\u00f4r ar y traeth,\u201d meddai Guy: \u201cRoedd hi\u2019n chwech o\u2019r gloch y bore ac roedd hi\u2019n rhewi.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd fy nhad wrth ei fodd \u00e2\u2019r cyfnod Swing a dysgodd chwarae\u2019r clarinet ac fe wnaeth fy annog i chwarae\u2019r trwmped er mwyn i ni allu gwneud deuawdau ac ef hefyd wnaeth brynu fy nwy albwm cyntaf erioed i mi, un gan y trwmpedwr Louis Armstrong.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCerddoriaeth oedd popeth roeddwn i\u2019n ei wybod a dydw i erioed wedi gwneud dim byd arall.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae’r bobl y mae Guy wedi chwarae gyda nhw yn darllen fel pwy yw pwy o fyd cerdd ac un o uchafbwyntiau ei yrfa oedd cefnogi Sinatra o flaen 45,000 o\u2019i ddilynwyr yn yr Eidal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae hefyd wedi recordio wyth albwm unigol, dau ohonynt wedi\u2019u henwebu ar gyfer Gwobr Gerddoriaeth Mercury, ac ers 2008 mae wedi bod yn Gyfarwyddwr Cerdd ac yn drefnydd cyngerdd blynyddol Jazz Voice yn y Barbican, sy\u2019n agor G\u0175yl Jazz Llundain a bu ganddo gysylltiad agos ers blynyddoedd gyda G\u0175yl Jazz Cheltenham.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Guy wnaeth drefnu\u2019r gerddoriaeth ar gyfer ffilmiau The Talented Mr Ripley a The No 1 Ladies\u2019 Detective Agency gan y cyfarwyddwr ffilm Anthony Minghella a ddywedodd amdano: \u201cGuy Barker yw\u2019r peth prin hwnnw \u2013 unawdydd disglair, arweinydd naturiol a chyfeilydd hael. Mae e\u2019n medru chwarae i dorri dy galon neu i wnedu dy ben i droi.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dywedodd cynhyrchydd gweithredol Eisteddfod Llangollen, Camilla King: \u201cRydym wrth ein boddau ein bod wedi gallu denu Guy Barker yn \u00f4l i Langollen ar gyfer yr hyn a fydd yn noson wirioneddol gofiadwy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGall y gynulleidfa ddisgwyl sain pres bachog, enaid New Orleans a thaith drwy hanes canu jazz, yn cynnwys y clasuron a threfniannau newydd annisgwyl, gan gynnwys un o ganeuon Tom Waits wedi\u2019i hail-ddychmygu.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019n mynd i fod yn set wych, bythgofiadwy, wedi\u2019i thynnu ynghyd gan ddawn ddihafal Guy o adrodd straeon trwy gerddoriaeth.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bydd Band Mawr Guy Barker yn camu i\u2019r llwyfan yn Llangollen fel rhan o gyfres o gyngherddau o safon uchel sy\u2019n cychwyn ar y nos Fawrth, Gorffennaf 4<\/a>, gyda ffefryn yr Eisteddfod, Alfie Boe fydd yn ymuno \u00e2\u2019r gr\u0175p theatr gerdd, Welsh of the West End.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ddydd Mercher bydd Blodau Gwyn: I Mewn i\u2019r Goleuni<\/a>, cyngerdd i goffau\u2019r rhai a fu farw yn Sarajevo ac Wcr\u00e1in, yn cynnwys cerddorfa NEW Sinfonia gydag unawdwyr o Bosnia, Cymru ac Wcr\u00e1in, gyda gweithiau\u2019n cynnwys detholiadau o The Armed Man gan Karl Jenkins gan ddiweddu gyda neges draddodiadol yr Eisteddfod o heddwch a gobaith ar gyfer dyfodol yr holl genhedloedd.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bydd yr orymdaith boblogaidd o gyfranogwyr rhyngwladol a dathliad o heddwch yn digwydd ar y dydd Iau, ac yna Hedfan, gwaith theatrig newydd gan artistiaid gweledigaethol Propellor Ensemble<\/a>, wedi’i ysbrydoli gan batrymau mudo o fyd natur a dynoliaeth.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae dydd Sadwrn<\/a> yn cynnwys y digwyddiad rhuban glas, cystadleuaeth nodedig C\u00f4r y Byd ar gyfer Tlws Pavarotti, a hefyd Pencampwyr Dawns a Llais Rhyngwladol y Dyfodol Pendine 2023.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae gwedd newydd i ddiwrnod olaf yr Eisteddfod ar y dydd Sul<\/a> gyda rownd derfynol fyw newydd sbon <\/span>lle bydd s\u00ear lleisiol yn brwydro i hawlio’r teitl Llais Theatr Gerdd, a chystadleuaeth ysgrifennu caneuon newydd ar gyfer lleisiau sy’n dod i’r amlwg yn y byd cerddoriaeth poblogaidd cyfoes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ar y Maes, bydd bandiau pres, arian a chwythbrennau a bandiau cymunedol yn cystadlu, a gall cynulleidfaoedd ddewis eu henillydd ar gyfer Ymryson Dawns newydd yr Eisteddfod.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yn ogystal \u00e2\u2019r cyngherddau, mae pob dydd yn cynnwys rhaglen lawn o gystadlaethau yn y Pafiliwn a rhestr o stondinau ac arddangosfeydd ar y Maes ynghyd \u00e2 chystadleuwyr o bedwar ban byd, nifer ohonynt mewn gwisgoedd lliwgar tra bod tri llwyfan awyr agored a nifer o berfformiadau byw cyffrous.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bob blwyddyn mae tua 4,000 o gyfranogwyr yn cymryd rhan gyda thua 25,000 o ymwelwyr yn mynychu\u2019r Eisteddfod Ryngwladol.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bydd llawer o adloniant hefyd ar y Maes gan gynnwys gweithdai, sgyrsiau, arddangosiadau rhyngwladol, perfformiadau theatr awyr agored a sgiliau syrcas.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
