Mae\u2019r canwr opera byd-enwog Bryn Terfel wedi galw heibio Llangollen \u2013 er mwyn ffilmio rhaglen deledu newydd a mynd ar drywydd y tenor Eidalaidd chwedlonol Luciano Pavarotti.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n


\nRoedd y bas-bariton mawr yn y dref i recordio rhaglen ar gyfer S4C dim ond ychydig wythnosau cyn y bydd yn dychwelyd i\u2019r dref ar gyfer cyngerdd gala fel rhan o ddathliadau 70ain Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen eleni.
\nEnw\u2019r rhaglen fydd \u2018Taith Bryn Terfel: Gwlad y G\u00e2n\u2019, a bydd hefyd yn cynnwys ymweliadau \u00e2 Chricieth, lle canodd Bryn yn y castell, a Treboeth, man geni\u2019r bardd Daniel James a ysgrifennodd yr emyn Calon L\u00e2n.
\nYn Llangollen ymwelodd \u00e2\u2019r Pafiliwn Rhyngwladol Brenhinol i holi hoelion wyth yr Eisteddfod Gethin Davies a\u2019i wraig, Eulanwy, am eu hatgofion o Pavarotti.
\nCanodd y tenor o\u2019r Eidal yn yr Eisteddfod yn 1955 fel aelod 19 oed yng Nghorws Rossini o Modena, a dychwelodd i roi cyngerdd 40 mlynedd yn ddiweddarach fel seren opera byd-enwog.
\nDywedodd Bryn Terfel: \u201cMae\u2019n stori hyfryd o\u2019r hyn y gellir ei gyflawni os byddwch yn cymryd eich cyfleoedd.
\n\u201cMi wnes i\u2019n sicr siarad efo Pavarotti am Gymru yn y 1990au cynnar ac fe ddywedodd wrthyf ei fod wedi canu yma gyda\u2019i dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nRoedd Gethin Davies yn cofio 1955 pan enillodd Corws Rossini y brif gystadleuaeth i gorau – sydd erbyn hyn yn cael ei hadnabod fel cystadleuaeth C\u00f4r y Byd am Dlws Pavarotti – ond yr unig gofnod yn ei ddyddiadur o\u2019r cyfnod yw mai \u2018C\u00f4r Eidalaidd enillodd\u2019.
\nOnd roedd y cyfreithiwr wedi ymddeol o Langollen, a\u2019r unig berson i fod yn gadeirydd yr Eisteddfod ddwywaith, yn ymwneud llawer mwy \u00e2\u2019r \u0175yl yn 1995 pan helpodd i drefnu ymddangosiad Pavarotti.
\nDywedodd Bryn Terfel ei fod hefyd wedi bod i Langollen fel cystadleuydd: \u201cRwy\u2019n synnu mai dim ond unwaith y b\u00fbm i yma,\u201d meddai: \u201cOnd oherwydd ei bod yn \u0175yl ryngwladol efallai bod y Cymry yn meddwl nad oeddem yn ddigon da?
\n\u201cRwyf wedi bod yma sawl tro ers hynny a dwy flynedd yn \u00f4l mi wnaethon ni berfformio Sweeney Todd yma ac eleni rwyf yma eto gyda\u2019r tenor gwych o Malta, Joseph Calleja, a fedrwch chi ddim curo Llangollen ar ddiwrnod braf.\u201d
\nMae taith Bryn eisoes wedi ei weld yn canu \u2018Dafydd y Garreg Wen\u2019 yng nghastell Cricieth, gyda\u2019i gariad Hannah Stone yn cyfeilio iddo ar y delyn, ac ychwanegodd: \u201cFel perfformiwr rydych yn cyrraedd rhywle ac yn canu mewn cyngerdd yno ac wedyn yn gadael yn syth, felly mae\u2019n braf gallu aros a threulio ychydig o ddyddiau yma.\u201d
\n\"1Mi wnaeth hefyd gyfweld Cadeirydd presennol yr Eisteddfod Rhys Davies a\u2019i holi am yr \u0175yl eleni, sy\u2019n rhedeg o ddydd Mawrth, 5 Gorffennaf, tan ddydd Sul, 10 Gorffennaf, a chanodd \u2018My Little Welsh Home\u2019 ar gyfer y rhaglen sy\u2019n cael ei gwneud gan gwmni cynhyrchu Boom Cymru i\u2019w darlledu ar ddiwedd mis Gorffennaf.
\nDywedodd Rhys Davies: \u201cRoedd yn wych gweld Bryn yn Llangollen unwaith eto. Mae bron fel ail gartref iddo, ac mae\u2019n amlwg ei fod yn mwynhau dod yma ac rydym wrth ein boddau i\u2019w gael yn \u00f4l.
\n\u201cMae\u2019n un o sawl perfformiwr anhygoel sy\u2019n ymddangos\u00a0 ar lwyfan yr Eisteddfod eleni gan gynnwys y gantores Gymreig arbennig Katherine Jenkins a Jools Holland.\u201d
\nMae tocynnau ar gyfer cyngherddau\u2019r Eisteddfod eleni, fydd yn cychwyn ar ddydd Mawrth, 5 Gorffennaf, eisoes yn gwerthu\u2019n dda, yn enwedig y tocynnau ar gyfer y noson agoriadol pryd bydd y seren ddawnus Katherine Jenkins yn cychwyn ei rhaglen trwy ganu Carmen gan Bizet gyda\u2019r tenor Americanaidd Noah Stewart..
\nDydd Mercher fydd Diwrnod Rhyngwladol y Plant a bydd yn cynnwys cystadlaethau corawl a dawns a hefyd cystadleuaeth newydd yr unawd dan 16 oed a bydd y cyngerdd gyda\u2019r nos yn rhoi llwyfan i Leisiau Theatr Gerdd.
\nBydd y digymar Bryn Terfel yn serennu yng Nghyngerdd Gala y 70ain Eisteddfod ar y nos Iau. Gyda\u2019r tenor o Malta Joseph Calleja tra bydd gweithgareddau dydd Iau yn cynnwys coroni C\u00f4r Plant y Byd.<\/p>\n
