{"id":4531,"date":"2016-06-27T08:37:36","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T08:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.limearchive.org.uk\/?p=4531"},"modified":"2016-10-26T12:20:21","modified_gmt":"2016-10-26T12:20:21","slug":"world-class-american-opera-star-kate-steps-in-to-replace-the-role-of-carmen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.limearchive.org.uk\/cy\/world-class-american-opera-star-kate-steps-in-to-replace-the-role-of-carmen\/","title":{"rendered":"Kate y seren opera byd enwog o\u2019r America yn camu i&#8217;r adwy fel Carmen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Kate Aldrich yn cael ei gweld fel \u201cCarmen ei chenhedlaeth\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mae firws wedi gorfodi Katherine Jenkins i dynnu n\u00f4l o gyngerdd yng Ngogledd Cymru ar gyngor meddygol ond mae&#8217;r trefnwyr wedi sicrhau seren opera \u201co safon ryngwladol\u201d i gymryd ei lle.<\/p>\n<p>Roedd y gantores Cymraeg glasurol yn \u201chynod siomedig\u201d ar \u00f4l cael ei tharo gan firws cas ond bellach bydd y mezzo soprano Americanaidd enwog, Kate Aldrich, yn camu ar lwyfan Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen yn ei lle.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Datgelwyd bod un o gantorion mwyaf y byd, sef y seren opera Bryn Terfel, a fydd yn ymddangos mewn cyngerdd yn yr \u0175yl ar y nos Iau, wedi gwneud eu gorau glas ynghyd a&#8217;i gynrychiolydd, Matthew Todd, o asiantaeth Harlequin,\u00a0 i helpu\u2019r Eisteddfod.<\/p>\n<p>Maent wedi gweithio&#8217;n agos gyda chyfarwyddwr cerdd yr Eisteddfod, Eilir Owen Griffiths, i\u2019w gynghori ar ganfod artist addas i gymryd lle Katherine gan sicrhau gwasanaethau Aldrich.<\/p>\n<p>O ganlyniad, bydd y diva Americanaidd yn serennu ochr yn<br \/>\nochr \u00e2\u2019i chyd-Americanwr, y tenor nodedig Noah Stewart, mewn fersiwn cyngerdd arbennig o opera Carmen gan Bizet ar noson agoriadol yr \u0175yl eiconig ar ddydd Mawrth, 5 Gorffennaf.<\/p>\n<p>Daeth i enwogrwydd rhyngwladol yn 2002 drwy serennu yng nghynhyrchiad Zeffirelli o Aida gan fynd ymlaen i ennill Gwobr CulturArte yng Nghystadleuaeth Opera Ryngwladol Operalia. Yn 2006 enillodd Wobr Alfred Radok a&#8217;r Wobr Thalia yn y Weriniaeth Tsiec.<\/p>\n<p>Mae beirniaid cerddorol wedi disgrifio Aldrich fel \u201cCarmen ei chenhedlaeth\u201d ac mae wedi perfformio\u2019r opera boblogaidd gyda&#8217;r tenor Almaenig gwych, Jonas Kaufmann, yn y Metropolitan Opera yn Efrog Newydd.<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd cadeirydd yr \u0175yl Dr Rhys Davies: \u201cMae gen i gydymdeimlad gwirioneddol gyda Katherine oherwydd rwy\u2019n gwybod gymaint roedd y r\u00f4l hon yn ei olygu iddi hi. Mae\u2019n wirioneddol ddrwg gennym, ond ni fydd Katherine yn gallu perfformio Carmen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAr y llaw arall, rydym wedi bod yn anhygoel o ffodus i allu sicrhau\u2019r gantores opera o&#8217;r radd flaenaf yn ei lle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae Kate Aldrich yn un o s\u00ear opera mwyaf disglair y byd ac mae ei pherfformiad fel Carmen wedi derbyn canmoliaeth eang, mae hi eisoes yn gyfarwydd iawn \u00e2&#8217;r rhan ac wedi ei pherfformio i glod enfawr yn nhai opera gorau&#8217;r byd. Mae&#8217;r ffaith ei bod hi&#8217;n dod i Langollen i berfformio yn gyffrous iawn ac mae&#8217;r gynulleidfa yn mynd i gael gwledd. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>Yn \u00f4l ei rheolwyr roedd Katherine yn \u201chynod siomedig\u201d nad yw&#8217;n gallu perfformio yn Llangollen.<\/p>\n<p>Meddai Katherine: \u201cRwyf wedi bod yn edrych ymlaen ac wedi bod yn paratoi ar gyfer dychwelyd i Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen ers misoedd lawer, nid yn unig am ei fod yn un o fy hoff leoliadau ond hefyd oherwydd ei fod yn gyfle i berfformio fy hoff ran. Rwyf wedi siomi\u2019n fawr fod y salwch yma wedi fy nharo ar yr adeg yma ar ganol y cyfnod ymarfer mwyaf allweddol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO dan yr amgylchiadau, roeddwn wrth fy modd ac yn ddiolchgar i glywed bod Kate Aldrich ar gael i gamu i\u2019r adwy ac rwy&#8217;n sicr y bydd hi&#8217;n creu noson arbennig a gwych i bawb. Rwyf ond yn difaru nad wyf yn gallu bod yno.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd Kate Aldrich ei bod yn edrych ymlaen yn fawr at ei hymweliad cyntaf erioed \u00e2 Llangollen.<\/p>\n<p>Meddai: \u201cHoffwn anfon fy nghydymdeimlad i Katherine ynghyd \u00e2\u2019m dymuniadau gorau am wellhad buan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen yn ddigwyddiad eiconig ac rwy\u2019n edrych ymlaen yn eiddgar i ddilyn yn \u00f4l troed cewri operatig y gorffennol fel Luciano Pavarotti sydd wedi perfformio ar yn y pafiliwn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarmen yw un o fy hoff rannau ac rwyf wedi clywed fod y gynulleidfa yn Llangollen yn wybodus a gwerthfawrogol iawn, felly rwy&#8217;n edrych ymlaen at noson arbennig a chanu gyda Noa a&#8217;r cantorion dawnus eraill yn yr ensemble.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mae&#8217;r cyngerdd yn cael ei noddi gan sefydliad gofal Parc Pendine, sydd \u00e2 chanolfannau yn Wrecsam a Chaernarfon ac sydd ag ymlyniad mawr tuag at y celfyddydau.<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd perchennog Parc Pendine Mario Kreft MBE: \u201cYn naturiol roeddem yn edrych ymlaen at weld Katherine Jenkins, ond o ystyried y sefyllfa, rwy\u2019n meddwl fod yr Eisteddfod wedi gwneud yn wych i sicrhau gwasanaeth cantores hynod dalentog o safon Kate Aldrich sydd heb amheuaeth yn un o ddehonglwyr gorau&#8217;r byd o Carmen. Mae&#8217;n argoeli i fod yn noson wych.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Er yn siomedig nad yw Katherine Jenkins yn gallu bod yno, roedd Eilir Owen Griffiths, cyfarwyddwr cerdd yr \u0175yl, yn teimlo yr un mor gyffrous wrth feddwl am glywed fersiwn Kate Aldrich o Carmen.<\/p>\n<p>Meddai Eilir: \u201cRwy&#8217;n hynod ddiolchgar i Bryn Terfel a Matthew Todd o asiantaeth Harlequin, sy&#8217;n ei gynrychioli, am eu holl gymorth wrth drefnu i Kate ddod i Langollen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRwy&#8217;n gwybod bod Bryn a Matthew wedi siarad gyda\u2019u cysylltiadau, gan gynnwys rhai o&#8217;r enwau mwyaf yn y byd opera, cyn argymell Kate fel y person perffaith i\u2019r r\u00f4l.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae hi\u2019n gantores mezzo soprano arbennig o ddawnus ac rwy&#8217;n si\u0175r y bydd y cyngerdd ar y noson agoriadol yn rhoi cychwyn teilwng i\u2019r wythnos gyfan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae gennym hefyd rai artistiaid gwych a fydd yn ymuno \u00e2 Kate a Noah Stewart ar y llwyfan.
