Cafwyd cyngerdd mawreddog i gloi Eisteddfod Gerddorol Llangollen gyda\u2019r arwr boogie-woogie, Jools Holland, a ddisgrifiodd yr \u0175yl fel \u201cyr \u0175yl orau yn y byd\u201d.<\/p>\n

S\u00ear y cyngerdd i gloi\u2019r \u0175yl eleni oedd cyn bianydd ac arweinydd y band Squeeze, yr awdur, y cyflwynydd teledu a radio a\u2019i Gerddorfa Rhythm a Blues.<\/p>\n

Hefyd yn perfformio yn y cyngerdd roedd y cantorion Ruby Turner a Louise Marshall a chafodd ei noddi gan un o gefnogwyr sefydledig yr \u0175yl, Village Bakery.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd y rheolwr gyfarwyddwr Robin Jones: \u201cRoedd yn bleser gennym noddi Eisteddfod Llangollen unwaith eto eleni, yn arbennig oherwydd bod yr \u0175yl yn dathlu ei 70ain pen-blwydd.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd Jools a\u2019i fand yn aruthrol, ac roedd yn noson gwbl wych a fydd yn byw yn y cof am amser maith iawn.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd yr awyrgylch yn drydanol ac roedd pobl yn dawnsio yn yr eiliau. Roedd yn ddiweddglo perffaith i wythnos wych yn Llangollen.<\/p>\n

Dechreuodd Jools, a gafodd ei eni yn Llundain, chwarae yn nhafarndai dociau\u2019r East End fel \u2018greaser\u2019 yn ei arddegau cyn arwain ei Gerddorfa Rhythm a Blues ymhen hir a hwyr a gwerthu miliynau o recordiau.<\/p>\n

Derbyniodd OBE yn 2003 am ei wasanaethau i ddiwydiant cerddoriaeth Prydain.<\/p>\n

Roedd Jools wedi addo y byddai\u2019n dychwelyd i Langollen yn dilyn ei berfformiad cyntaf yn yr \u0175yl dair blynedd yn \u00f4l, ac ar \u00f4l derbyn ei benodiad yn ddirprwy lywydd.<\/p>\n

Meddai: \u201cRoedd yn bleser ac yn anrhydedd derbyn gwahoddiad i fod yn ddirprwy lywydd yr \u0175yl ryfeddol hon. Hon yw\u2019r \u0175yl orau yn y byd.<\/p>\n

\u201cCawsom amser gwych y tro diwethaf i ni berfformio yn Llangollen, sy\u2019n dref fach mor hardd. Roeddwn wrth fy modd gyda\u2019r awyrgylch, y blodau, y gynulleidfa werthfawrogol a chawsom gyfle i gwrdd \u00e2 phobl anhygoel. Roedd yn anrhydedd bod yn rhan o\u2019r \u0175yl.<\/p>\n

\u201cCafodd yr \u0175yl ei sefydlu i hybu heddwch a harmoni rhwng pob gwlad ar \u00f4l diwedd yr Ail Ryfel Byd, ac rwy\u2019n credu bod hynny\u2019n wych.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae safon y cerddorion a\u2019r dawnswyr ifanc sy\u2019n teithio o bob rhan o\u2019r byd i gystadlu yn Llangollen yn brawf o waith caled y trefnwyr a\u2019r gwirfoddolwyr i gynnal yr \u0175yl.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roedd cyfarwyddwr cerddorol yr \u0175yl, Eilir Owen Griffiths, yn falch iawn ei fod wedi sicrhau ail ymddangosiad Jools Holland a\u2019i Gerddorfa Rhythm a Blues yn Llangollen.<\/p>\n

Meddai: \u201cMae Jools Holland nid yn unig yn chwaraewr allweddellau a phiano ac yn ganwr gwych, mae\u2019n berfformiwr anhygoel.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd ei berfformiad ddwy flynedd yn \u00f4l i gloi\u2019r \u0175yl wythnos yn gwbl wych ac roedd cymaint o bobl, cefnogwyr rheolaidd yr Eisteddfod, yn holi pryd y byddem yn eu gwahodd i ddychwelyd. \u201cRoedd hyn yn ddathliad arbennig iawn oherwydd bod yr \u0175yl yn dathlu ei phen-blwydd yn 70 oed eleni…<\/p>\n
