Mae Tywysog Cymru wedi cytuno i barhau fel Noddwr Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen am dymor arall.<\/p>\n

Mae\u2019n parhau\u2019r berthynas hir rhwng Tywysog Cymru a\u2019r \u0175yl eiconig y mae wedi ymweld \u00e2 hi dair gwaith – yn fwyaf diweddar y llynedd, pan ymwelodd \u00e2\u2019r Eisteddfod yng nghwmni Duges Cernyw.<\/p>\n

Bryd hynny cafodd ei ddenu i ddawns fyrfyfyr gydag aelodau o gr\u0175p bhangra Punjabi o Nottingham, sef dawnswyr Sheerer Punjabi, wrth iddo nodi cychwyn Gorymdaith y Cenhedloedd.<\/p>\n

Y tro cyntaf i Dywysog Cymru fod yn bresennol yn yr Eisteddfod oedd yn 1985, pan ddaeth yma yng nghwmni Diana, Tywysoges Cymru ac yna dychwelodd yn 2006, gyda Duges Cernyw, ond mae\u2019r \u0175yl, a sefydlwyd yn 1947 i hyrwyddo heddwch a chytgord rhyngwladol, wedi hen arfer ag ymweliadau brenhinol.<\/p>\n

Yn 1953 roedd ymweld \u00e2 Llangollen yn un o ymrwymiadau swyddogol cyntaf y Frenhines Elisabeth newydd ar \u00f4l iddi olynu ei thad, George VI, ar yr orsedd, ac mi ddychwelodd wedyn yn 1992 er mwyn agor y Pafiliwn Brenhinol Rhyngwladol, ac ymysg yr ymwelwyr Brenhinol eraill a fu yn Eisteddfod Llangollen y mae\u2019r Dywysoges Margaret a\u2019r Dywysoges Frenhinol.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd Cadeirydd Eisteddfod Dr Rhys Davies: \u201cYn naturiol, rydym yn falch iawn bod y Tywysog yn aros fel Noddwr i\u2019r digwyddiad gwych yma ac rydym yn gobeithio y bydd yn parhau i wneud hynny am flynyddoedd lawer i ddod.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019n cynnal ein cysylltiad Brenhinol ac mae\u2019n newyddion rhagorol ar \u00f4l 70ain<\/sup> Eisteddfod lwyddiannus iawn a welodd nifer uwch o ymwelwyr, tri chyngerdd lle gwerthwyd pob tocyn, cynnydd mewn grwpiau o dramor a rhagolygon ariannol calonogol.<\/p>\n

\u201cRydym ar y trywydd iawn i o leiaf adennill costau sy\u2019n bod y rhagolygon ariannol yn llawer mwy cadarnhaol i ni wrth i ni nes\u00e1u at ein pen-blwydd yn 70 oed yn 2017.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dechreuodd digwyddiad eleni mewn ffordd gofiadwy iawn gyda chyngerdd Carmen ar y noson agoriadol, pan gamodd y seren soprano Americanaidd Kate Aldrich i\u2019r adwy yn gampus yn dilyn absenoldeb Katherine Jenkins, a oedd wedi ei tharo\u2019n wael gan firws.<\/p>\n

Roedd y pafiliwn unwaith eto bron dan ei sang i glywed bas bariton mawr Cymru Bryn Terfel a\u2019r tenor Joseph Calleja o Malta yn ymuno mewn cyngerdd gyda\u2019i gilydd, cyn i Jools Hollan<\/p>\n

Cafodd y penderfyniad i symud Gorymdaith y Cenhedloedd o\u2019r diwrnod agoriadol i\u2019r dydd Gwener hefyd ei gyfiawnhau gan y cynnydd mawr yn nifer y cystadleuwyr a gymerodd ran a\u2019r 7,000 oedd ar y strydoedd gan gynnwys y rhai oedd yn rhan o\u2019r orymdaith.<\/p>\n

Ychwanegodd Dr Davies: \u201cRoedd y cyngerdd Carmen gyda\u2019r nos yn hollol wych ac roedd Bryn Terfel a Joseph Calleja ar y nos Iau hefyd yn wirioneddol gofiadwy ac roedd yn bleser mawr gen i weld un o fy ffefrynnau personol, Jools Holland, yn dychwelyd i lwyfan yr Eisteddfod ar gyfer cyngerdd gwych ar y dydd Sul.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd safon y cystadlaethau unwaith eto yn hynod o uchel ac mae nifer y bobl o dramor sy\u2019n cymryd rhan – eleni daeth cystadleuwyr o 27 o wledydd – yn dal i dyfu.<\/p>\n

\u201cCafodd y penderfyniad i symud gorymdaith draddodiadol yr Eisteddfod o ddydd Mawrth i ddydd Gwener ei gyfiawnhau gan y ffaith bod dros 1,000 wedi cymryd rhan, wedi eu gwylio gan dorf enfawr oedd gyda\u2019r mwyaf ers blynyddoedd.<\/p>\n
