Mae canwr ifanc \u201cysbrydoledig\u201d, a oresgynnodd gyflwr prin ar yr aren, wedi llwyddo i gael y rhan ddelfrydol o gael ei ddewis i berfformio gyda\u2019r seren opera Syr Bryn Terfel.<\/p>\n

Bydd Joseph Elwy Jones, sy\u2019n 11 oed, yn perfformio ar lwyfan Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen fel y bugail mewn cynhyrchiad sy\u2019n llawn enwogion cerddorol o glasur opera Puccini, Tosca<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Caiff y gyngerdd, ar ddydd Mawrth 4 Gorffennaf, ei noddi gan sefydliad gofal Parc Pendine sydd wrth ei fodd gyda\u2019r celfyddydau. Mae\u2019r gyngerdd hefyd yn cynnwys dau seren opera byd-enwog, y soprano Kristine Opolais a\u2019r tenor Kristian Benedikt.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Dyma fydd un o uchafbwyntiau\u2019r wythnos pan fydd yr \u0175yl eiconig yn dathlu ei phen-blwydd yn 70 oed.<\/p>\n

Enillodd Joseff, sydd o Licswm yn Sir y Fflint, y rhan ar \u00f4l clyweliad heriol yn erbyn llu o gantorion Cymreig ifanc \u2013 diolch i\u2019r gwersi ychwanegol oddi wrth bennaeth ei ysgol, Ysgol Gwenffrwd yn Nhreffynnon.<\/p>\n

Cafodd ddiagnosis o Syndrom Neffrotig yn 2013 ond fe cafodd ei iachau ar \u00f4l derbyn triniaeth, a oedd yn cynnwys steroid, ac nid yw\u2019r salwch wedi dod yn \u00f4l ers hynny.<\/p>\n

Mae Joseph, sy\u2019n chwarae p\u00eal-droed a git\u00e2r, bellach wedi gwella\u2019n llwyr ac yn barod amdani \u2013 ac mae\u2019n edrych ymlaen yn fawr at gyfarfod a chanu gyda\u2019i arwr, Syr Bryn Terfel.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd Mario Kreft MBE, perchennog Parc Pendine: \u201cMae Joseph, nid yn unig yn ganwr ifanc hynod o dalentog, ond hefyd yn ysbrydoliaeth gan ei fod wedi goresgyn y problemau iechyd yn benderfynol ac yn ddewr.<\/p>\n

\u201cFel sefydliad gofal, mae stori Joseph yn gyfarwydd iawn i ni ac mae\u2019n wych ei fod yn llawn bywyd unwaith eto \u2013 ac wedi ei fendithio \u00e2 llais hynod o arbennig.<\/p>\n

\u201cBydd cael y cyfle i rannu llwyfan gyda\u2019r ardderchog Syr Bryn Terfel a gweddill y cast byd enwog yn brofiad bythgofiadwy i Joseph ac yn achlysur cofiadwy iawn i\u2019r gynulleidfa.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roedd Joseph wrth ei fodd pan glywodd ei fod wedi ei ddewis i chwarae rhan y bugail.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd: \u201cAr \u00f4l y clyweliad roedd rhaid i mi aros tua wythnos, oedd yn teimlo\u2019n amser hir, a\u2019r hiraf yr aeth yr amser y mwyaf roeddwn i\u2019n meddwl nad oeddwn i wedi cael y rhan. Wedyn, roeddwn i yn yr ysgol a daeth Miss Owen, y pennaeth, i mewn i\u2019r dosbarth a dweud y newyddion da wrtha\u2019i. Doeddwn i ddim yn gwybod beth i ddweud!<\/p>\n

\u201cCefais sioc ac rwy\u2019n edrych ymlaen yn fawr at gyfarfod \u00e2 Syr Bryn Terfel. Byddaf i\u2019n nerfus, ond byddaf yn iawn pan fydd y gerddoriaeth yn dechrau. Rwy\u2019n mynd \u00e2 llwyth o bapur gyda mi oherwydd mae fy ffrindiau i gyd wedi gofyn i mi gael llofnod Syr Bryn.<\/p>\n

Ychwanegodd: \u201cRwy\u2019n caru cerddoriaeth, ond rwyf hefyd yn hoffi pethau eraill fel pysgota a ph\u00eal-droed. Hoffwn fod yn gerddor proffesiynol ar \u00f4l gadael yr ysgol, ond hoffwn hefyd weithio yn y byd meddygol.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yn \u00f4l ei fam, Abigail, sy\u2019n athrawes yn Ysgol Llywelyn yn y Rhyl, roedd y teulu i gyd yn hynod o falch.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd: \u201cMae e\u2019n fachgen ifanc nodweddiadol, mae\u2019n mwynhau chwarae p\u00eal-droed i Dreffynnon ac mae ganddo bum git\u00e2r. Mae\u2019n falch o\u2019i wreiddiau Cymreig ac mae wrth ei fodd \u00e2 bandiau fel y Manic Street Preachers, a fydd hefyd yn perfformio yn Llangollen eleni. Mae hefyd yn aelod o gr\u0175p lleol y Sgowtiaid ac mae wrth ei fodd yn yr awyr agored.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMae ei chwaer, Sophia sy\u2019n saith mlwydd oed, yn dysgu chwarae\u2019r allweddellau ac mae gan ei dad, David, sy\u2019n dysgu Saesneg yn Ysgol Uwchradd y Fflint, ddau git drymiau. Rydyn ni\u2019n deulu eithaf cerddorol!<\/p>\n

\u201cOnd nid yw erioed wir wedi cael gwersi canu proffesiynol. Mae ei bennaeth yn Ysgol Gwenffrwd, Iola Owen, wedi ei helpu ef a llawer o blant eraill i baratoi ar gyfer cystadlaethau yn Eisteddfod yr Urdd.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae hi\u2019n anhygoel a phan gawson ni wybod ei fod wedi cael clyweliad gofynnais iddi a allai hi ei helpu i ddysgu\u2019r darn. Gwyliodd berfformiadau ar YouTube i\u2019w helpu, ond nid yw canu yn Eidaleg yn hawdd wrth gwrs.<\/p>\n

\u201cTreuliodd hi lawer o amser yn ei helpu, hyd yn oed am awr ar ddiwrnod hyfforddiant i athrawon.<\/p>\n

\u201cPan ddywedwyd wrthyf fod Joseph wedi cael y rhan roeddwn i\u2019n meddwl ei fod ond yn deg mai hi oedd yr un a fyddai\u2019n dweud y newyddion wrtho. Anfonodd hi gerdyn hyfryd ato y diwrnod canlynol yn ei longyfarch.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019n eithaf addas mewn ffordd iddo gael ei ddewis i chwarae\u2019r bugail yn Tosca<\/em> oherwydd roedd ei hen daid, Victor Thomas, a oedd yn bennaeth ar bractis milfeddygol yng Nghaerwys, yn cadw defaid ar hyd ei oes.<\/p>\n

\u201cRydyn ni fel teulu yn edrych ymlaen yn eiddgar i wylio Tosca<\/em> yn Eisteddfod Ryngwladol Llangollen, mae’n mynd i fod yn foment hudol a balch iawn i dad Joseph, ei chwaer Sophia ac i mi.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mae Ynyr Lewys Rogers, sy\u2019n 12 oed o Ruthun, ac yn ddisgybl yn Ysgol Brynhyfryd yn y dref, wedi ei ddewis i fod yn ddirprwy i Joseph.<\/p>\n

Mae Eisteddfod Llangollen wedi bod yn fan cychwyn i yrfaoedd nifer o gantorion gan gynnwys Syr Bryn Terfel ei hun pan oedd yn fas bariton ifanc, a\u2019r enwog Luciano Pavarotti a wnaeth gystadlu yn yr \u0175yl am y tro cyntaf yn 1955 gyda ch\u00f4r ei dad o Modena yn yr Eidal.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd Eilir Owen Griffiths, cyfarwyddwr cerdd yr \u0175yl: \u201cMae cynyddu cyfleoedd i bobl ifanc ymwneud \u00e2 cherddoriaeth yn achos sy\u2019n agos iawn at fy nghalon, ac at galon y noddwyr, Parc Pendine \u2013 sydd hefyd yn hael iawn wedi treblu cronfa gwobr Llais y Dyfodol eleni.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019n hynod o gyffrous darganfod talent canu mor addawol \u00e2 Joseph. Mae diniweidrwydd a phurdeb ei lais yn berffaith ar gyfer rhan angylaidd y \u2018bugail.\u2019 Mae\u2019r cymeriad yn dod \u00e2 golau i dywyllwch y darn ac mae llais Joseph yn ei wneud yn ymgeisydd perffaith i\u2019r rhan.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoeddem wedi ein plesio yn fawr \u00e2 safon y clyweliadau eleni ac roedd pawb a berfformiodd wedi paratoi yn dda ac yn broffesiynol. Roedd Joseph ymhlith y cantorion ifancaf a gafodd glyweliad, sy\u2019n dangos mai rhif yn uni gyw oed. Mae ei angerdd am gerddoriaeth yn amlwg iawn ac mae ei berfformiad yn mynd i fod yn un cofiadwy dros ben.\u201d<\/p>\n
