Gwelwyd y dorf yn Eisteddfod Llangollen yn cael ei chymell i godi ar ei thraed mewn ymateb i berfformiad syfrdanol o Tosca gan Puccini nos Fawrth 4ydd<\/sup> o Orffennaf.<\/p>\n

Bu i\u2019r s\u00ear opera byd enwog, Syr Bryn Terfel, Kristine Opolais a Kristian Benedikt rannu\u2019r llwyfan am y tro cyntaf erioed i gyflwyno datganiad pwerus ac unigryw o\u2019r stori garu ddramatig.<\/p>\n

Roedd y perfformiad yn yr Eisteddfod Ryngwladol, a noddwyd gan Pendine Park, yn cynnwys tri o dalentau mwyaf blaenllaw y byd, i gyfeiliant Cerddorfa mawr ei chlod Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru, ac roedd yn ddiwedd llwyddiannus i ail ddiwrnod yr \u0175yl 70 mlwydd oed.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Dychwelodd y bas-bariton uchel ei barch Syr Bryn Terfel i Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen yn r\u00f4l Baron Scarpia oedd ar drywydd Cavardossi y tenor o Lithwania,\u00a0 Benedikt. Gan chwarae r\u00f4l y teitl, daeth y soprano Opolais \u00e2 deinamigrwydd prin i Tosca, gan helpu i greu perfformiad cofiadwy, dan arweiniad Gareth Jones.<\/p>\n

Yn ogystal \u00e2\u2019r perfformwyr byd enwog roedd y noson hefyd yn cynnwys talent ifanc newydd gan gynnwys Joseph Elwy Jones oedd wedi\u2019i recriwtio\u2019n lleol i chwarae rhan y Bugail Ifanc a\u2019r bariton o Ogledd Cymru Steffan Lloyd Owen, yr ail fyfyriwr yn unig o\u2019r Royal Northern College of Music i ennill Gwobr fawreddog Kathleen Ferrier. Yn ymuno \u00e2\u2019r cast hefyd oedd myfyrwyr o Ysgol Maes Garmon yn Yr Wyddgrug a berfformiodd yn y Corws.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd Cyfarwyddwr Cerdd Eisteddfod Llangollen, Eilir Griffiths,: \u201cRoedd hwn yn brosiect cyffrous i Eisteddfod Llangollen fynd i\u2019r afael ag ef ac roedd yn llwyddiant anhygoel – roedd y cast cyfan yn ysblennydd.<\/p>\n

\u201cO\u2019r artistiaid byd enwog a\u2019r dalent lleol sy\u2019n dod i\u2019r amlwg, i\u2019r llwyfannu cynnil a\u2019r gwaith fideo syfrdanol, daeth yr opera hyfryd hon yn berffaith fyw.<\/p>\n

\u201cLlwyddodd y perfformiad i gyfuno rhagoriaeth ac arbenigedd ei d\u00eem Cymraeg a\u2019i d\u00eem rhyngwladol, gan bwysleisio gallu Eisteddfod Llangollen i ddenu artistiaid byd-eang yn ogystal ag arddangos talent gynhenid y wlad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yn siarad wedi\u2019r perfformiad, dywedodd Dr Rhys Davies, Cadeirydd Eisteddfod Llangollen,: \u201cMae pen-blwydd yr Eisteddfod Ryngwladol yn 70 wedi cael dechrau gwych. Nos Lun bu i\u2019r cyngerdd agoriadol bywiog arddangos y gorau o\u2019r hyn sydd gan Gymru i\u2019w gynnig, gyda pherfformiadau gan Fand Pres Cory gyda Chorau Meibion cyfarwydd lleol y Fron a Rhos yn perfformio ochr yn ochr \u00e2 Canoldir a Colne Valley, o dan arweinyddiaeth yr anhygoel Owain Arwel Hughes CBE.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd hi hefyd yn wych gweld Meinir Wyn Roberts yn cymryd rhan yn y cyngerdd agoriadol hwn, dwy flynedd yn unig wedi iddi gael ei henwi fel Llais Rhyngwladol y Dyfodol yn Llangollen. Mae\u2019n amlygu\u2019n glir sut mae cystadlaethau Llangollen yn gweithredu fel llwyfan neidio i gantorion ifanc talentog. Rydyn ni\u2019n sicr yn edrych ymlaen at weld pa s\u00ear rhyngwladol y dyfodol fydd yn cael eu dadlennu yng nghystadlaethau eleni pan fyddant yn dechrau yfory [DYDD MERCHER 5ED O ORFFENNAF].<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd Diwrnod Rhyngwladol y Plant [DYDD MAWRTH 4YDD O ORFFENNAF] hefyd yn llwyddiant mawr gyda dros 3,000 o blant yn mynychu. Roedd miloedd o wynebau hapus, yn gwenu yn y pafiliwn wrth i\u2019r Neges Heddwch gael ei gyflwyno ac fe wnaeth yr ysgolion oedd yn ymweld ganu pen-blwydd hapus i\u2019r Eisteddfod. Mae\u2019n ymddangos hefyd fod y tywydd yn gwenu arnom ni – dim yn rhy boeth a dim glaw – gobeithio y bydd yn parhau drwy gydol yr wythnos.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoedd Tosca wir yn anhygoel, gyda rhai o hoelion wyth opera byd enwog yn camu ar lwyfan y pafiliwn ochr yn ochr \u00e2 thalent leol fel Steffan Lloyd Owen a Joseph Elwy Jones. Cafodd Joseph ei recriwtio’n ddiweddar drwy glyweliadau agored ar gyfer rhan y Bugail Ifanc ac roedd yn gweddu\u2019n addas i\u2019r r\u00f4l. Pan gamodd Syr Bryn Terfel ar y llwyfan gyda Kristine Opolais a Kristian Benedikt roedd yr awyrgylch yn wirioneddol drydanol! \u201cMae\u2019r Eisteddfod eleni yn mynd rhagddi\u2019n hynod o dda ac rwyf yn edrych ymlaen at weddill yr wythnos, yn enwedig at weld Corws Dathlu Llangollen yn perfformio Calling All Nations o dan gyfarwyddyd Christopher Tin nos yfory [DYDD MERCHER 5ED O ORFFENNAF].\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
