Y ddinas porthladd yn cael ei henwi fel lle mwyaf caredig y wlad, ond mae ymchwil yn dangos bod pobl Prydain yn credu nad yw pobl mor garedig ag oeddent ddegawd yn \u00f4l.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mae pobl o Plymouth yn cyflawni gweithredoedd da yn amlach nag unrhyw le arall yn y DU, ond mae pobl ar draws Prydain yn credu ein bod ni’n llai caredig fel gwlad nag yr oeddem 10 mlynedd yn \u00f4l.<\/p>\n

Dangosodd yr arolwg, a gomisiynwyd gan \u0175yl heddwch rhyngwladol Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen i nodi Diwrnod Caredigrwydd y Byd [dydd Llun 13eg o Dachwedd<\/strong>] bod 83% o bobl ar draws y wlad hefyd yn credu bod cyflawni gweithred dda yn effeithio’n gadarnhaol ar eu hiechyd meddwl. Roedd dros hanner y merched a holwyd yn cytuno bod gwneud rhywbeth caredig yn hwb i hapusrwydd, dim ond traean o ddynion oedd yn credu hynny.<\/p>\n

Yn \u00f4l yr ymchwil, mae’r Prydeiniwr cyffredin yn cyflawni naw gweithred garedig bob mis, gyda 55% yn honni eu bod wedi cyflawni gweithred dda o fewn 24 awr i gwblhau’r arolwg. Dywedodd 7% eu bod yn cyflawni 31 neu fwy o weithredoedd da bob mis – mwy nag un y dydd!<\/p>\n

Er gwaethaf hyn, fodd bynnag, dim ond 7% o bobl Prydain a ddywedodd eu bod yn teimlo bod pobl yn fwy caredig heddiw na degawd yn \u00f4l, gyda 44% yn dweud eu bod yn teimlo bod pobl bellach yn LLAI caredig nag o’r blaen.<\/p>\n

Datgelwyd mai Cenhedlaeth y Mileniwm (18 \u2013 34 oed) oedd y rhai lleiaf anhunanol gyda 45% yn cyfaddef eu bod yn cyflawni gweithred garedig neu weithred dda oherwydd eu bod yn credu y byddai rhywbeth da yn digwydd iddynt yn sgil hynny. Y bobl dros 55 oedd y gr\u0175p mwyaf anhunanol, gyda dim ond 11% yn disgwyl cael unrhyw beth yn \u00f4l o’u gweithredoedd da.<\/p>\n

Er bod Plymouth wedi gorffen ar frig y tabl caredigrwydd, gyda phobl yn y rhanbarth yn cyflawni 11 gweithred garedig bob mis ar gyfartaledd, roedd Caerdydd yn dynn ar ei sodlau, ynghyd \u00e2 Llundain a Manceinion, lle’r oedd trigolion ar gyfartaledd yn cyflawni 10 gweithred dda bob mis (rhestr lawn isod).<\/p>\n

Cafodd Southampton ei henwi fel y ddinas leiaf caredig, gyda\u2019r trigolion ond yn cyflawni 8 gweithred garedig yr un bob mis, tra bod Llundain yn cael ei datgelu fel y ddinas leiaf anhunanol, gyda thraean o’r ymatebwyr (33%) yn cyflawni gweithredoedd da er mwyn cael arian neu fudd yn sgil hynny.<\/p>\n

O ran y gweithredoedd caredig sy’n ein gwneud ni i deimlo’n well, gwrando ar rywun ddaeth i\u2019r brig, ond roedd yna wahaniaethau trawiadol rhwng y rhywiau.<\/p>\n

Er bod y ddau ryw yn rhoi pwysigrwydd mawr i roi canmoliaeth (oedd yn ail ar y ddwy restr), roedd merched yn teimlo bod gwrando ar rywun yn gwneud iddynt deimlo\u2019n hapus, tra bod dynion yn teimlo mai gwneud i rywun chwerthin oedd yn gwneud iddynt deimlo hapusaf (nodir y rhestrau llawn isod).<\/p>\n

Yn ogystal \u00e2 gweithredoedd da bychain a syml, datgelodd yr arolwg gymaint y mae rhai Prydeinwyr wedi ei wneud er mwyn ceisio gofalu am eraill, gyda gweithredoedd caredig anhygoel yn cynnwys rhoi nwyddau ‘supermarket sweep\u2019 i gymydog a oedd newydd gael ei ddiswyddo neu yrru 100 milltir i sicrhau y gallai dieithryn fod gyda rhiant oedd yn marw, i dalu ffioedd dysgu plentyn cymydog a hyd yn oed peryglu eu bywydau eu hunain i achub rhywun arall.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd Dr Rhys Davies, Cadeirydd Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen: “Mae’r ymchwil hwn yn dangos, er bod pobl ledled y wlad yn cyflawni gwithred garedig ac yn dangos ewyllys da bob dydd, nid ydym yn dathlu’r pethau bychain hyn ddigon ac o ganlyniad rydym yn credu ein bod ni’n llai caredig fel gwlad. Ein gobaith yw y bydd yr ymchwil yma\u2019n help i dynnu sylw at yr ysbryd o ewyllys da a\u2019r ymdeimlad o ofalu am ein gilydd sydd wrth wraidd ein g\u0175yl ac yn amlwg ar draws y wlad.”<\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol wedi cael ei chynnal yn nhref Llangollen bob blwyddyn ers 1947. Lansiwyd y dathliad o gerddoriaeth, dawns a heddwch i wella clwyfau\u2019r Ail Ryfel Byd ar draws Ewrop ac erbyn hyn mae’n croesawu tua 4,000 o berfformwyr a chynifer \u00e2 50,000 o ymwelwyr i\u2019r Pafiliwn Rhyngwladol a’r maes a\u2019r llwyfannau cyfagos bob mis Gorffennaf. Mae’r \u0175yl yn dod \u00e2 pherfformwyr o bob cwr o’r byd at ei gilydd i ganu a dawnsio mewn cyfuniad unigryw o gystadlu, perfformio a heddwch a chyfeillgarwch rhyngwladol.<\/p>\n
